Co-Teaching in each class
RVCP’s co-teaching model, with two teachers in each class, is at the root of our ability to implement our unique social-emotional learning focus and authentically individualize for each child's needs, strengths, and interests. Having two teachers present also enables better support of the children, and helps us maintain low child to adult ratios to create an engaging, positive environment.
Our Co-Op Model
We believe when parents engage in their child’s learning, the experience is more rewarding for both child and parents. Our preschool is a parent-run co-op, and its success depends on everyone’s contributions. As part of the RVCP community, all families are required to:
Work in the classroom about once a week
Maintain a family preschool job
Attend monthly parent meetings
Participate in community and fundraising events
See the full rewards of our process and details on the Co-Op Experience page.

Families with a self-reported financial need can pay a 3 or 4 day tuition rate for Salmon and still attend all 5 days of class, or as many days as they are able. Our school is deeply committed to meeting all families where they are, and we hope this better supports families who want to attend more days but face a financial barrier.
The Sliding Scale Tuition Form is a guide but if cost remains a barrier to enrolling in Salmon next year please email treasurer@rainieralleycooppreschool.com. We invite all families to participate in this new plan, regardless of income tier.
Financial Scholarships:
Our school welcomes scholarship applications from all families – we encourage you to apply! We are affiliated with North Seattle College (NSC) Cooperative Preschools, and use their scholarship fund to provide additional assistance for our families.
